The Album Leaf
Masterminded by San Diego-based musician Jimmy LaVelle, The Album Leaf has been producing post-rock and indie electronic music for almost two decades. San Diego-based songwriter LaValle started recording solo material one year after forming the post-rock band Tristeza. Constructing songs utilizing everything from ambient noise to field recordings to radio transmissions, the resulting sound was displayed in his debut album An Orchestrated Rise to Fall in 1999. The Album Leaf’s profile grew as a result of his first EP, In an Off White Room, and second album One Day I’ll Be On Time in 2001. The success of these releases lead LaVelle to find himself opening shows for Sigur Rós’ first American tour that year, and by the time he started recording his third album, he had secured the services of S
