Jessy Lanza
R&B-influenced vocalist, producer and songwriter Jessy Lanza has been described by The Guardian as “the latest and possibly greatest of the new ethereal soul girls.” After contributing vocals to several Junior Boys recordings, band member Jeremy Greenspan helped co-write and co-produce her debut album, Pull My Hair Back, from 2013. Electronic stylings mixed with Lanza’s soulful vocals led her debut to be ranked as No. 4 on Resident Advisor’s Top 20 Albums of 2013. Lanza has collaborated with a number of artists, including Caribou, Taso, and Matthew Dear. Her latest album, Oh No from last year, garnered widespread critical acclaim and the release landed on multiple Albums of the Year lists, including those by Gorilla vs. Bear, The Quietus and FACT.
