Kona FM is a Houston born and raised DJ. Her kaleidoscopic sets weave from genre to genre and aim to reflect the rich diversity which Houston has to offer. This Boiler Room alumni began her journey towards musical expansiveness at KTRU and is currently one of the hosts of Sync Radio FM on Houston’s very own Pacifica radio station KPFT. While she feels most at home playing dark techno or polyrhythmic house, don’t be surprised when you hear some post-punk or old school Memphis rap casually dropped into a set. Her deep cuts may be foreign and unfamiliar, but her selection never fails to get a crowd movin’ and groovin’. She also probably uses “BRRAAAPPP” way too much.
