Named after an as-of-now indefinable “character” from a literary series, Narcons is a new band from Houston featuring the combined sounds of extra-terrestrial vocals, a synthesizer, a guitar, a bass guitar, and a drum set. While the first set of songs was recorded by just Brett Taylor and Stefan Mach, the new incarnation of the band also includes Chris Ryan and Cley Miller. The band’s sound has been likened to a bruise and genre-defined as both space-punk and “cosmic zombie.”
