COCOROSIE
CocoRosie is a French band founded by American sisters Bianca “Coco” and Sierra “Rosie” Casady in 2003. A French band made up of American sisters? Sure, why not. The French word “chanteuse” certainly comes to mind upon hearing their breathy, pixie-like vocals cascading down their minimal “freak folk” arrangements.
CocoRosie’s latest album, “Tales of a GrassWidow,” was released in early 2013 and their most recent appearance in Houston was at the House of Blues later that year. Houston Press described the show as a “kaleidoscope of musical and visual colors,” which makes them a perfect fit for Day For Night.
